Spring Point Solutions was a division of Stultz Electric Works. Several employees of Stultz Electric, including James Stultz, President and 3rd Generation Stultz, spent numerous years developing a comprehensive electric motor shop management sofware with full financial capabilities for in-house use. Stultz Electric was so pleased with their software that Jamie Stultz, 4th Generation Stultz and Troy D. Locke, former Controller decided to offer the software package to other motor shops. Jamie and Troy began what is now known as Spring Point Solutions. In 2003, Stultz Electric was sold and Spring Point split away forming as an LLC. In 2004, Spring Point moved their office to the Old Port area of Portland, closer to the Spring Point Lighthouse for which the company was named. In 2005, Thing really started taking off.
